Intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) is a diagnostic technique that allows obtaining additional information about the number and localization of colorectal cancer (CRC) metastases in liver (especially with their intraparenchymal location), determining relationship arteries veins liver, navigating for puncture biopsy / or performing minimally invasive treatment lesions, adjusting amount resection intervention on during surgery. When medical procedures, IOUS application helps to avoid injuries blood vessels, bile ducts adjacent organs, also evaluating effectiveness identifying potential complications. An important component support surgical procedures staged assessment hemodynamics, providing an immediate correction situation. Thus, safe, inexpensive highly informative option, which should be mandatory step CRC metastases.Based literature data personal experience, authors present indications, technical aspects features various options modalities metastases.
